Notes

Only mod I made was 5 rounds for the armhole ribbings and collar instead of 4 rounds.
Collar--122 stitches
Armhole--88 stitches

Also wanted to add, even though I was able to get gauge with the Sunshine fingering weight yarn I should have held it double for a bit more of a pop.

Better pictures to come.

Pulling colors from a kit I got from North Bay Fibers, using North Bay and Float, both Heritage Sport. I will replace them down the road unless I decide I don’t want to knit the sweater from the kit.

My original colors didn’t work, I was going to use the dark blue, Deep Dive, from the kit also, but it was too dark, didn’t care for the contrast.

4-19-25--Spent the weekend swatching using the Brown Sheep Lanaloft (so happy I decided on this stash yarn, will be very soft next to the skin) and was able to get gauge using a US 6 needle. Cast On the ribbing and liking the way this yarn is working up even though I’m not usually a fan of single ply yarn.

4-30-25--So I’m changing colors again, made it to the 2nd CC on the first repeat and the light blue is just too light and blends in with the MC. Going to use Sunshine yarns Front Range Sock in color Goldilocks. The light blue seemed to show up okay on my swatch but it’s just blending right in on the actual sweater and I want it to pop a bit.

5-23-25--I’m working my way up the body, 10” so far, 3 more to go before splitting for front and back.

5-31-25--Ugh! This month has seemed endless but I’m finally at the top of the shoulders on the front of this vest. Hopefully knitting goes smoothly the rest of this weekend and I can finish off the back. Then just the ribbings and an endless number of ends to weave in, but I really do love the look of this and can’t wait to wear it!!!

6-1-25--Finally working my way up the upper back. I’m getting closer to finishing!

6-17-25--Steam blocked, now to seam shoulders and neck and armhole ribbings. (And weave in all those pesky ends I should have woven in as I went, sigh.)
