(since I’m not blocking, shoot for 16 sts per inch to allow for yarn expansion)

NOTE: Clara Parkes says use dull-tipped needles with this yarn, it’s splitty. Also, the stitches expand by about 5% after blocking! Not the most durable yarn, so wear with care.

Let’s mix it up and swatch with my #6 bamboo DPNs. I’m assuming they mean stockinette? swatching flat using the “leave a long length of yarn in back and slide to the end” method with 20 sts cast on.

Let’s break out the big guns and try #11 Addis
Addis are way too slippery for this yarn. On second thought maybe the problem is just that this yarn is rather stretchy, so one of those pprevious sizes might actually work.

I’m gonna go ahead and try it with the #6 bamboo DPNs and see if they fit after blocking. If not I can always frog it and try again. I really do like a snug fit for these things anyway.

For the hand portion it says to knit to 5”, but I think that would be too long for my hand, so I’ll stop at 4”.
