For my fall 2012 Muggle Studies OWL project - knit an adult sweater. Can I finish a cardigan knit in fingering yarn by the end of November? LET’S HOPE SO.

I am really liking this pattern! I am using a slightly larger needle size because I was worried about the largest size being slightly too small in the bust, but so far it fits pretty good! Also I am really loving the color shifts in the stripes.

11/1 - Not quite to 50%, so I’m a little behind, but not by so much I don’t think I’ll finish by the 31st. And even though it’s endless stockinette right now, the stripes really help me set small goals and get things done!

11/24 - Homework and getting an early start on Christmas knitting have set me back a bit. I am a few rows of garter stitch away from having completed the body and all I have left are the sleeves and the collar/button band. I don’t think I will complete it by the end of the month, but I am positive I can complete it by the end of the year. Especially once I’m done with Christmas knitting, which because of time constraints does have priority. I am proud of how far I’ve managed to come though! Knitting in fingering weight does take a lot of time and I’m glad I haven’t lost patience yet. :)
