Throughout the knitting of this sweater I was fearful it was going to be too big, as I was unable to get the proper gauge and made a slightly smaller size. Was thrilled to try it on and find out that it fits very well. The cotton needs a good blocking still (it’s actually had it’s bath and drying now) so current picture is in it’s unblocked state. Stay tuned for proper FO pictures.
The gauge for this pattern is quite different for a worsted weight yarn. Add that to the fact that I’m a loose knitter, and that meant I had to knit this on 2.0 mm needles. It was a little hard on my hand, particularly when the sleeves were joined to the body and the work became quite heavy. The yoke went a lot quicker than I thought it would though, and picking the button band and collar was a piece of cake to as I slipped the first stitch purl wise as advised by Sally Melville in her Knit Stitch book. I love the clean edge that this makes.
