This is a Christmas present for my high-school aged niece who loves zebra print, so I decided to do her bag in white with black ribbon and zebra striped lining. I had a hard time finding white yarn in the Sumptuous yarn I used for her sister so I wound up initially using Wool Ease Thick ‘n Quick, which produced a smaller purse. Not wanting her to feel like she got the dinky purse (especially since I was told she likes big bags) I decided to give the one I originally knit to my mom. Luckily I found a whole bin full of the Sumptuous yarn in cream on my next visit to JoAnn, but I’m a little disappointed now that I realize it has a slight yellow tint compared to the Wool-Ease. I may decide to swap the two white bags again if it doesn’t look good with the lining I bought…we’ll see tomorrow. At least it knit up really nicely.
