Making for a friend to give to her new nephew. My friend picked out, purchased & sent me the yarn to work with.

Went down to a size US#10 to get gauge.

Ran short on yarn with every colour stripe even though I was getting gauge.
• CO & did 16 rows before running out of yarn for this color
• Next 6 colours did 18 rows before running out of yarn
• Last color 16 rows, repeat row 1 & BO.

Took me a bit to figure out the bind-off. Once I realized that I was to add a stitch by knitting into the front & bind that off, then knit into the back & bind off as normal (repeat again) it worked out.

Even with being short in each section, the blanket still came out at a nice size.

This blanket is very, very thick… almost rug like. Hoping it washes softer & more flexible. Next time I will make using only 1 strand of yarn rather than 2 held together and CO more stitches to make up the difference in width.
