Notes

More details to come after the adrenaline settles down and I have time to look at my notes and think clearly again.

I am so thrilled with how this pattern turned out. The colorwork chart is one I made ages and ages ago, after being inspired by the Komi patterns in Charlene Schurch’s mitten book. I tweaked my original chart for these socks, and have gobs of other charts that still haven’t been paired with patterns yet.

For those wondering, the construction is top-down, with a heel flap and flat toe. (Standard top-down sock stuff.) I do the gusset shaping at the bottom of the foot, in part because it’s pretty, and in part because it keeps the instep/sole interface from looking too busy.

I had to be cheeky with the start date. I honestly don’t remember when I started this sock journey, so I just put my birth date.
