Pattern Change The Candy Cane Border that’s at the top of the chart seemed a little off (the repeat seemed to be making the pattern jump awkwardly) in the book, so I changed the pattern just a little.

I’m using the lambswool blend sensations yarn from JoAnn for most of the colors on this piece. It’s called “Lustrous Lamb” and has a good feel on the needles. The patterns are written with minimal long floats, so I’ve only had to twist the yarns on a few rows.

I’ve just finished the chart, and now it’s time to turn the heel…

RAVELLENICS 2012 WIP WRESTLING UPDATES

07.27.2012 - This is coming out of hibernation for Ravellenics 2012! This will be entered in the WIP Wrestling event, so I better finish it!

07.28.2012 - Turned the heel during the parade of nations and swimming qualifiers. I’m off to a good start!

07.29.2012 - Working my way through the second grouping of reindeer! The Ravellenics were just the boost of motivation I needed!

07.31.2012 - Finished the second star chart. I think I can, I think I can!!

08.02.2012 - Finished the second hat chart. Started the toe. I’m definitely going to get this finished. Also, made a note to never knit colorwork during a swimming relay again.

08.03.2012 - I’m done! I’m done! I’m done!
