1/1/13 My New Year Resolution of Knitting a New Stitch a Day! 365 Knitting Stitches a Year Perpetual calender.After Kitting Each Pattern and Crocheting around and Blocking to a 4’4 Squares, I felt like Too Much Time on Blocking Each Square and Not Much Knitting.

1. Jan 10, 2013. My Own Pattern. So I decided to Knit in Monthly Panels. Lot of Planning for My Afghan with added 53 weeks and Names of Months Top and Bottom. Afghan is made with 12 Monthly Panels knitted in a continuous Strip to be put Together to make a Twin Size Afghan. which turned out to be Queen Size Bed Spread.
2. Needles. Addi 0Pink Lace Set $169) used Size 5 Lace Needles Tips only, with Stoppers on ends to make 5” staihjt needles to hold 29 Stitches. Later I Bought Signature Art Needles 6” DPN ($65) and used 2 of them with stoppers o Ends.Lot of Smooth FUn.
3. Yarn. Jan 15,2013 Thursday Michaels had sale on Caron Simply Soft Yarn. I have been Sketching the construction of this Perpetual calender Afghan using ALL 365 Stitches in order of each date. selected colors from the shelf and bought ALL Skeins on The shelf. Approx 8 skeins each in color.By Studying All 365 Stitches , I decided to cast on 29 stitches with 3 stitches for Border. Each swatch is 3” long and work goes faster as it is continuous Panel with 2 rows of border color to separate each swatch.Each Panel has 38 Blocks .
4. Start work. Jan 20 Start Jan Panel, completed Jan 27.31 Swatches Jan 28 Start Feb Panel completed Feb 4 ,29 Swatches Jan 29 Start Mar Panel completed Feb 3 ,31 Swatches Feb 04 Start Apr Panel completed Feb 14,30 Swatches Mar 17 Start May Panel completed May 22, 31 swatches May 22 Start Jun Panel completed June 9, 30 swatches Jun 10 start July Panel completed Jun 20.30 swatches Jun 21 start Aug Panel completed Jun 30 31 Swatches JuL 01 Start SEP Panel completed Jul 12 30 swatches Jul 12 start OCT Panel completed Aug 06 31 Swatches Aug 06 Start NOV Panel completed Aug 27 30 Swatches Aug 29 Start DEC Panel completed OCT 17 31 Stitches. Each Panel has 38 Blocks . The swatches plus Blocks for weeks and Two Blocks for Month Names Top and Bottom. I picked some Favorite Patterns for a few blocks and My Initial and Year 2013. Feb has Red Heart, March has Kelly Green Shamrock, Easter has Multi Colored Egg, June has Flag for Independence Day,as there is Block free on July Panels.Sept has Flag for Labor Day, Oct has Yellow Leaf, NOV has a Brown Turkey and a Green Christmas Tree. Jan 2 2014 Start Sewing Panels Together Completed Jan 18 2014.. All DONE!!!
