Both yarns are slightly thicker than the yarn suggested, but they worked fine.

I went down with needle size, because I knit quite loosely. I CO 96 sts. The brim fits quite snuggly around my head, which is nice.

The measurements are (lying flat):
Brim width: 17 cm.
Crown width: 27 cm.

My head circumference is 55cm.
The hat size is quite forgiving, as it’s stretchy and all.

The achieved gauge:
4.5mm needle/sock&mohair/stockinette: 18sts/10cm.
4mm needle/sock held double/rib: 28sts/10cm.
