Maisie, who is just about two, has said that her favorite colors are black and brown. So we’ll need a sparkly black tutu for her ballerina :0)

I was extremely glad to find this yarn for the tutu as it was the only one around at this weight and fiber content that I saw. However, it is really difficult to work with as the silver in the yarn is a separate strand which breaks and moves around while you work creating some ‘bald’ patches where there is no sparkly yarn at times. I much prefer Scheepjes Twinkle yarn, which I used for my mermaids, but the black in that line has an iridescent green rather than a silver or gold for the metallic so that was not suitable for this project.
