Using the Dahlia lace panel to make a birthday throw for my daughter. I’m not too sure exactly what this will be like in the end, sort of making it up as I go along…

3/21/15 I visited my daughter the other day and saw her basket where she keeps the handmade blankets I’ve given her. Knowing that she uses them all the time and seeing that they still had the ‘blocked’ look as when I originally gave them to her I offered to take, wash and re-block them. She gave me a sheepish look and said, “I’ve just been throwing them in the washer and dryer all this time…..”. Lol. For this sort of thing, this yarn is sooooooo great :0)
7/20 Finished! Going to machine wash & wet block it and hopefully get a few more photos - I expect the edge to be less ruffled after blocking.
7/19 Halfway through the edging, a bit more tonight and washing/blocking tomorrow…
7/18 Seaming complete, now for the border!
7/17 6 of the 9 squares sewn together - expect to finish seaming and begin the border tomorrow
7/16 All 9 squares knit! One more to block and then on to seaming!!
7/11 6th square finished - three to go. Got a little help blocking this one from my little man - of course he was more interested in spraying me when he saw me take the camera out on account of his cuteness :0) - I did end up straightening out the crooked edge which I didn’t notice until I took the photo!
7/6 I broke down and bought two new skeins of Seaspray so that I could include two aqua colored squares instead of one. I had planned on using only stash, but decided I like the block arrangement (bottom photo) which requires one more aqua block.
7/5 After much deliberation I’ve decided to do a Vivid type garter stitch border around the edge of each lace square. I thought of going for a seamless look by grafting them together along with other possible options, but in the interest of time and minimal do-overs this seemed safest. I will join the squares in the same way as on my Vivid.
7/1 Third square finished.
6/30 Two squares down.

squares are 20” x 20”, border 1.5”

Total Squares out of 9: 9!!!

Seaspray ~ 2
Lime ~ 4
Almond ~ 1
Lake ~ 2
