11/29 Just chart C to go - I’m hoping to finish and get the dress blocking tonight!…and…Soak-ed and blocking!!
10/30 Boo Hoo. It had been so long since I’d worked on this, and I guess I didn’t mark where I had left off in the lace when I stopped (probably thinking I would pick it right back up the next day), that I became completely and irremediably lost and have now frogged back to before the lace section. Argggh. Sad face. Oh well, here we go again!
10/1 wow, I haven’t worked on this in nearly 2 weeks - but with a KAL deadline of 11/30 and a gifting date of 12/25, my other projects are getting priority now as they need to be finished much sooner. Hope to complete this month.
9/19 Almost a month since my last notes - time flies! Started the bottom lace last night and am through one chart.
8/20-21 chugging along on the stockinette skirt portion - I’m a little weird in that this is my favorite part, I love to just knit away with out a care that I was supposed to have inc/dec 5 rows ago ;)
8/18 half way through the waistband ~ I had originally planned to work on this a little bit at a time over a couple of months, but I’m having a hard time putting it down, so I will probably go ahead and finish it much sooner than that!
8/17 getting ready to grab my needles and cast on!
8/16 so glad that the designer decided to do this pattern as a KAL! Ever since I saw this little dress and worked with the Malabrigo Sock LoL I have really wanted to put them together. Hopefully it will fit my soon-to-be niece right around Valentine’s Day :)
ETA 8/16 - no sooner did I open up this project than the little miss decided to start making her way out - I guess she just needed a little encouragement in the form of the promise of a scrumptious pink dress - 100% girl for sure ;)
Photos of the dress hanging are most accurate for color, it is a beautiful, vibrant, intense pink.
The only mod I made to the pattern was to omit one repeat of lace chart B. I really wanted the heart motif at the bottom to stand out and was going for an overall simpler effect.
