Notes

I did this project to take part to the Cable/Gansey KAL/CAL of the “götz doll lovers”.

Gotz Happy Kidz Clara Doll 2016, is wearing this outfit consisting of a 2 color blue-grey dress FREEBIE PATTERN in this project page, 2 color blue-grey shoes, a brown bag and a head band with crochet flowers.

The dress Gansey touch was inspired from a cover photo I found on the web of the book:
KNITTING GANSEYS by Beth Brown-Reinsel
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Knitting-Ganseys-Beth-Brown-Rein...

I do not have the book, just sow the photo of the cover.
I have put a photo of the cover on this project page.

•The outfit worn by Clara has a knitted dress FREEBIE PATTERN in this project page, knitted head band, crochet bag and crochet shoes.
•The dress is knitted top down with Mondial Extrafine wool and needles mm 2.25, 2.50 and 2.00.
•Shoes and bag r crochet with cotton n. 5 and steel crochet hooks mm.1,5 or mm 1,75.
•The head band is knitted with Mondial Extrafine wool.

This is a very easy pattern because although 2 colors are used it is all done using slip stitches.
You will be using 1 color on each row so you will not carry the yarn on the back.

And now the DRESS FREEBIE PATTERN.

Please understand English is not my first language, so I hope u will be able to understand my notes.
If u find mistakes or u think something could be written more clearly please let me know. Thanks.

IMPORTANT
I have written 2 versions of the turtle neck pattern one with short rows, and one without short rows. If u are familiar with short row technique I suggest to use the short row version.
The sweater dress the Gotz doll is wearing is worked with short rows.

With Judith’s Magic Cast On cast on 70 sts with needles mm. 2.5 (US 1½)(35 on each needle). Work around once and then bring the sts back to flat knitting by holding the 2 needles together SIDE BY SIDE and with needles mm. 2.00 (US 00) working K the st on the front needle and P the st on the back needle.
