Notes

Well, Schachenmayr Bravo is way too large to get gauge, purling.
So: reducing the number of repeats of the pattern. Knitting with 100 st, adjusting the pattern repeats accordingly.

On the other hand, Schachenmayr Universa is too thin to be worked together with the Bravo, so on the second hat I used it doubled stranded.

Cast on 80 st and increased unto 100 st. Doing 5 repeats of chart n. 1. For chart n. 4 I did 3 repeats and added extra stitches to fit in the pattern.

I had to start decreasing in the middle of the starship troopers (otherwise it would have been way too long). I also didn’t do rows 1-3 of chart 1.

I’m already on the second hat, and it’s going like a breeze!

Second hat done! It really looks better with the Universa held double.

Now unto hat n. 3. It’s going to be for a 8 year old, so I’ll have to make it smaller: casting on 70 st, increasing unto 90 st, adding extra stitchtes to chart n. 1 to fit 4 repeats and doing 3 repeats of chart n. 4. Also not doing rows 1-3 of chart n. 1 and not doing chart n. 3.
