12/16/12 - Cast on 36 stitches / 18 each needle with Judy’s Magic Cast On
12/17/12 - Frogged. Got to the 6th repeat of the chart and realized that the “large” is more well suited for a man’s foot when knitted on size 2 needles to obtain gauge. I will say the chart is easy peasy to remember after the first time through. The yarn splits a little here and there but gradients beautifully.
Cast on 32 stitches / 16 per needle with Judy’s Magic Cast On.
12/22/12 - 9 repeats of the pattern on the first sock before starting the gusset on the first row of 10th repeat.
12/23/12 - Turning the heel was rough because I’ve never done wrapped stitches before but I got through it. Finished the heel and starting on the leg.
12/31/12 - Finished sock one in the wee hours. The heel stitches could look better but once you put it on the flaws disappear. Final 6 row repeat count from toe to cuff: 22. Bound off with Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off.
1/15/13 - Finished 9 repeats of the pattern on the second sock and the colours are identical so far. Starting the gusset increases tomorrow.
1/16/13 - Screwed up the heel counting the wrong numbers for purls. Tried to tink back and screwed that up too. Ended up having to frog the entire sock. Probably hibernating this until I’m not pissed off about it anymore.
5/15/13 - Finally giving this another chance. Anything to avoid that bubblemania lace weight project!
7/11/13 - THANK THE GODS I’M DONE. So I’m modeling these even though they were made for someone with bigger feet than myself. Still not happy with the strip that connects the instep to the ankle but I guess there’s nothing that can be done.
