Notes

Granddaughter wanted socks like her mamma’s here. As her feet grow so fast, I thought this adorable sweater would get much more wear and last longer.

Notes:

  • used a smaller 3.5 mm needle instead of a 4.0 mm to make this more durable and potentially less snaggy, as it is a kid garment. Also, my gauge with the MC is 22 st/4 inches on 3.5, so still big.
  • picked up 92 around the neck. I used the black part of the sock yarn as it was softer than the MC.
  • 14.5 inches side seam, and about 33 inches across the chest.

Anneke requested a smiley face, or rather, eyes and a smiley mouth in the middle of the front of the shirt. May have to use duplicate stitch for that. Maybe she will change her mind! In the end, I refused to add anything as the sweater is super-cute as-is.
