Next- sewing and cutting the steek.

Inspired by Strange Brew, although my yarn is worsted and I’m knitting top-down and I found my motifs in books.
- Used Couronne here which is Worsted for stitch and row numbers.

• use 4.5 mm needle for colourwork and 4.0 mm needle for neckline (and ribbing if I decide to use that).
• follow swatch, with notes to change things

Recipe:

• Cast on 77 with smaller needle, increase to 85 after rolled neck.
• 10 short rows for back of neck. Cast on 7 for steek and increase 32 to 124 stitches.
• Lozenge pattern 5 rows. 19 x 6 stitch repeats plus 2 plain stitches on either side, plus steek = 124
• Increase 54 to 178
• Gear pattern 11 rows. 9 x 18 stitch repeats plus extra small circle (6) with 2 stitches either side of steek plus steek = 178.
• increase 48 to 226
• Triangle pattern 18 - 24 rows depending on how much room I have. 36 x 6 stitch repeats plus front stitches plus steek = 226
• Increase to 255
• Separate sleeves (50 each sleeve)
• Cast on 12 underarm stitches each side = 179 stitches including steek. 88 back, and 91 front (42 each side).

Waist shaping. 4 decreases and 5 increases.

Sleeve- pick up 14 and decrease 2 at the gap row 1. After row 12 decrease. Every 12th row after to 44 stitches. 10th row last decrease to 42.

Button band- using 4.0 mm needles picked up 3 of 4. 87 stitches below yoke. Total 121. Purl one row then I cord bindoff.

Checked the Yoke numbers from Womens XS size of Strange Brew which is DK.

Top-down (Strange Brew recipe is bottom up, so converting this to a top-down).
