Notes

Red on top with black and white stripes zigzag. Zigzag will either be stranded or made with decreases/increases (chevrons). Decided on stranded.

Knit size 34 to start. Extra 2 rows at armhole with 2 stitches each side.

Bust darts. Start at wrap and turn at 20 then Every 3 stitches. 6 turns. Last one 5 stitches from side

Front band. Pick up 3 of 4. 79 including extra 1 at the bottom in red. I decided to rip out the black icord on the bottom and sides of the black and white section and do rib instead. Added 35 black to the front button band. Sew black and red together on the first band, and just did intarsia for the buttonhole band.

Sleeve. Pick up 68. Decrease every 10th row to 48. Then one more decrease on the 5th row after. Rib for 7 rows then bind off.

  • great houndstooth buttons from Joann Fabrics.
