Notes

This pattern is too interesting and beautiful not to knit. Not as difficult as it looks - the charts are tv knitting, in my opinion, but not conversation knitting.

The Duke Ellington version of the wonderful George Gershwin song Rhapsody in Blue is: here

It was difficult to take pictures with all the glare from the snow! The details really do show up nicely IRL

End section one on row 14 Chart A.
End fronts before sleeves at row 6.

  • knit with a heavy DK yarn (vs worsted), and a smaller size (M vs L) to end up with a more fitted sweater.
  • didn’t go down to smaller needles for hem, which was a mistake.

Size before blocking: Wet:
18 inches side seam 19.5
42 inches bust 46
11.5 inches sleeve seam 13

Blocked Measurement:
18.5 inches side seam:
44 inches bust:
12 inches sleeve seam:

My yarn has a lot of un-dyed bits in it, giving it a bit of a blue and white effect. I think this sweater is best with a solid or tonal yarn, so the features show (my bobbles are rather lost).
- 45 grams left of 6th skein.
