Notes

Confetti Socks:
Adult Small:

  • Use size 0 (2.0 mm) needle.
  • Cast on 12 figure 8. Increase to 54.
  • 3 green rows start heel.
  • 2 inches above heel then ribbing.
  • 2x2 rib for 3 inches.

Child (small 4 year old)

  • use size 0 (2.0 mm) needl3
  • figure 8 c/o 8 each side
  • increase each row for 2 rows, then knit plain row until 22 stitches
  • 6 stitches in middle of heel (could have been 8)
  • 1x1 rib for cuff.

Yarn Note - soaking water turned pink, but the confetti stripes didn’t pick up the red dye.
- yes, I know - I could have done an afterthought heel, or a contrast colour to keep my stripes in order. Didn’t have either the time or the inclination to be that picky.

Both socks together took 75 grams of yarn.

Prior Notes from candy stripe socks with green accents:

Not sure if I like this rounded toe. Also, these may be too loose. Waiting until I can get a cardboard cut-out of recipient’s foot. Turned out 56 stitches on size 2.25 mm was too large. Re-start with Christmas Confetti yarn.

Contrast green toe, heel and cuff, with candy cane red and white stripes for the rest.
