I took this pair of half-knit socks on my trip to Washington DC for the Women’s March on Washington, Jan. 21, 2017. Knit on the steps of the National Gallery, and on the Metro, as well as in the van. Middle picture is at the bar the night before.

• added 4 more stitches before the 1x1 ribbing for the cuff.

Yarn is very soft! Hope it holds up ok.

I was going to try a heel-flap toe-up pattern this time (Biscotte’s basic vanilla toe up heel flap pattern here) but knit too far before starting the heel, so ended up with FLKH.

60 stitches. This is a bit loose - should have gone down a needle size, or knit 56 stitches.
