Wanting to make a hat to match the cowl and use up tail ends from the cowl - and other projects I am using the same yarn.

I like double thickness brims on hats because if my ears get cold, all of me feels cold.

Also decided appropro of nothing to try stranding 4 colours at the same time for the outside of the double brim

Then switched back to only two colours for the pattern repeat on the crown of the hat.

I was really really happy with the rest and it fit my head with out blocking.
