I’m using my prize from the 1000 member draw. Jutta made this colourway from the photograph included in the photos

Chart 4 started…finally getting the“dusk” colours coming in.
Pattern is easy to follow even the smaller mesh sections.
Flower twisted stitch is not too hard after watching Jutta’s you tube video.

Okay. Yarn usage..
Skein 1….started from pink end…..removed about 20g of pink to get to the blue
Started skein 2 from blue end to maximize the blue…but found the two skeins to be very different. There was no deep blue in the second skein…but I was able to match eventually..
Second skein did not have any light blue and I didn’t have enough to finish the shawl with just one..so. I worked the second skein for the bottom of the shawl and got the sunrise sunset affect..
Blocking
After my thumb screaming at me during the picot crochet bindoff, I knew I couldn’t pin each picot
Used blocking wires threading thru the picots and decided on a smooth edge so Jutta can show different blocking possibilities.
So happy with how the shawl looking blocking out…
The gradient looks so much better than in the yarn barf stage (aka before blocking and scrunched up on needles!)

Off the mats:
The shawl sprang back about an inch when I took it off the wires and pins this morning..
Sewed in ends and measured her
84inches/210cm tip to tip along the top edge and
40 inches/100 cm down the centre spine to the edge of the fan section.
Conclusion: I knit loose and I block thuggishly to get the largest size I can…
