Notes

So this project is my attempt to create a cardigan from an existing shop bought cardigan that I love.

I got the original from Marks&Spencer (probably when they were actually in Canada - so that will tell you how long ago it was) I still love the cardigan and wear it at home (can’t wear it out since its stained and pulled in a few places)…

The cardigan has A line shaping which is good for me.
Right Front: cast on XXX sts work k2 p2 rib for 10 rows
front edge bands knit at the same time,
2 inches of st st with right front and right side seam patterning, before knitting 20 rows st st, and then start the A line shaping (decrease one st every 6 rows - 14 times)

So I’m finally pulling this out of the dark and casting in the back

This yarn is amazing The colour is fantastic

It’s been awhile since this cardigan has seen the light of day, but I’ve been plodding along with it, working the back.
I cant do binge knitting with this yarn as it really brings on repetitive strain in the thumbs, so it is about 6 rows at a time. Then switch to another project. So slow going. But so so with it.
The yarn is beautiful, heavy and colours are so luminescent!!!
I love it despite the slow pace

So as part of the envision year long wip challenge, I bit the bullet and frogged this, so that I can restart with the pb and FS combined, so I can knit it with no pain

Okay picking this up again. Cast on the right front and away we go….

Even taking notes !!

Should be working on a few more time sensitive things….but i succumbed to the yarn whinning to be knit again…this weekend and this evening..the back is up to the raglan decreases….

Choosing this as a Wip Wrestling medal for Ravellenics in the Cast on Cafe Group.

Already knit back snd fronts so only need the sleeves.
Challenge is the yarn is so slippery it triggers RSI
So. Going to go slow and steady.

Watching the ladies road race is as good pace for the knitting too

Second sleeve is at arm hole shaping.

Hope to finish later watching rugby 7s second round, if I can wake up.

Didn’t stay awake long enough to open two eyes. So watched replay later same day.

Pinned out Hope it dries by tomorrow.

And she’s finally finished and tried on, and fits!!!

After 6 years in a project bag, it was a bit of a worry if it would fit.

Thrilled the sleeves fit in perfectly the first time.
Must save my notes for these sleeves.
