Improvised top down jumper (Barbara Walker style) to use up my Jarol yarn stash so I can free up the space to buy new yarn.

Did most of the calculations and drawn up some schematics. Started knitting from back. Finished back shoulder short rows.

Started front right and finished neck shaping and shoulder short rows. Then returned to back.

Nearly finish armhole shaping on back. Used up 1 leftover skein of yarn (abt 0.5 skein).

Joined the front left/right now. The short row shaping in combination with neck shaping confused me a bit as the row count on neck side is constantly changing but armside isn’t. So I am just counting the rows with regards to those on the neck side. Neck hole looks a bit small now… hope that head can fit through! Will remember to work the neck ribbing loosely.
Also had to think of some tricks to work the left/right pieces symmetrically with the short rows on neck side (on right you knit, on left you purl, and in the end knit all the way from left to right to join, cutting the yarn initially used on right).
PS: It had all worked out in the end. All made sense and duh. Though I can’t remember the details now.

Back to work again after forgetting this project for months (distracted by sewing and house hunting). Just ending off the body piece now. Using k1tbl, p1 ribbing for a neater finish. Indeed it looks much better than my usual wonky ribbing. The ktbl is really putting a strain on my right hand fingers and wrist though. Might have try other knitting styles to shift the work to my left hand.
