Notes

I suddenly realized Tommy only has 1 sweater for this winter, so I used Veteran’s day to knit this for him. I am very proud that I used up every inch of this yarn and the sweater fit him perfectly.

I never could get yoke to fit him well (must be his body type lol), so I gave up on that and knitted this as a raglan instead.

The yarn was really shiny when I was knitting it, and I was worried b/c the shine bothered me. Thankfully after washing it the yarn really bloomed and the shine dulled away to a lovely pearl luster. I like how smooth it felt and I think he will get a lot of use out of it.

I also liked casting off with the slip slip knit method. It is so elastic and I think I will always cast off necks like this from now on.

Knitting this with super loose gauge makes the sweater drape really well. Very lovely sweater for him overall.

Casted on 140 for the body.

Casted on 40 for the sleeves.

Gauge: 25 sts for 4 inches.
