I don’t know the yarn. Aran weight?

Started a scarf project with it years ago, and fell out of love with it and never finished. Cables. Ugh. And I wasn’t too much of a knitter at that time. It looked sad…so it sat …and sat…and sat.
Frogged it to make a gift for a lovely friend. Washed the yarn to get the kinks out. YAY! So much better than a sadsittingnevertobefinished project.

Heavier yarn than pattern calls for so I made the 11-15 size even though it’s for an adult. Added rows to get it a bit wider around just in case. I usually find the thumbs tight on this pattern so I added a garter ridge to the thumbs as well. And I made the finger length longer and the wrist length a touch shorter.
