Here is the technique I’m using from The Patchwork Heart Its a great tutorial. Lots of pictures, and explained so well.

I really enjoyed this JAYG pattern. So fun to add each square. I couldn’t stay with my own color plan. Of course. Had to add a few random colored blocks.

Border notes:
After the foundation row I did 9 rows of Polly Plum’s Moss Stitch border.
Then Rows 3-5 of Betty’s Beautiful Border V1.
A row of hdc.
A row of sc, ch1, skip a stitch, sc in next.
And finally the Element D border from Edie Eckman.
