Love the colors I’m using. The hat will be for one of my grandaughters, depending on the size it ends up being. The tosh Vintage yarn is beyond exceptional in color, feel and stitch definition.

Using a smaller yarn (and hook) than suggested, so I’m using the teen/small adult pattern and hoping to get a baby/toddler (or even child sized would be ok) sized hat.

Armed with some advice from an expert knitter I hope to put a knitted brim on this hat. I find I like knitted brims better where hats are concerned.

June 2: All done. Looks like a baby sized hat, which come this fall/winter will fit my beautiful new granddaughter Madelyn. Went with a knitted brim, and I’m very happy with how it came out. :) I picked up 76 stitches, using a 4mm circular needle. 1x1 ribbing. Cast off with jssbo.
