Even if you only ever make it once, you MUST make this square. Labor intense, but so worth the results. Easy stitches, sc, ch, dc, tr. Clear, concise instruction and pictures along the way.

I used a hook size smaller than usual because of the notes I’ve seen about the square being large and in charge. I’m a tighter stitcher and I was still big. I did a different treatment to the outside rounds because I could not accomodate the pattern.
Last three rows are:
Sc, ch1, around.
Hdc around.
Sc around.

I’m delighted with it. I think it looks like a big fat dahlia. I like dahlias. :)
