If I have time during MadMay I’d like to start (if not entirely finish) a half granny shawl. I’ve always liked how these look using many colors and ending with a ‘fancy’ edging.

I have lots of beautiful blues and greens in Tosh Vintage along with some other wools in similar and complimentary colors. It will just have to be a hand wash not a machine wash shawl with some I might use.

5/30 Its done but for the blocking and I love it. I futzed around with the edging for a bit. Tried several. Wasn’t truly happy until I tried the dangling clover edging from the mezzaluna shawl. It was perfect. Still need to block, and then I will take proper photos.

5/26 Only a few more rows and I think it will be long enough to start the edging. I’ve been looking thru several books and lots of projects here on Rav for inspiration.

5/15 Coming along with the shawl. Now that the front of my Mad May pillow is done I have more colors available. Yay! I have mostly the worn denim color, so I believe the ‘fancy’ edging will end up with that color…or possibly hosta blue? or charcoal? Ok. I have some different options. But that’s the fun.
