KAL starting January 3rd

Gauge with 4 mm needles: 23 sts x 34 sts.

As my bust is about 34.5” (so I’m about exactly a size s) and because my gauge is a bit tighter, I will be casting on for size M to get enough positive ease for this sweater.

Hopefully it will result in something inbetween a size S and M.

Mods:

• Collar: As my row gauge is slightly off, I did make 1 additional full repeat of rows 1 & 2.

• using german short rows instead of turn & YO.

• to compensate for different row gauge /after finishing sleeve & body increases and when working body increases only: knitted 4 times 2 rounds without increases (just working stitches as they are / front and back in garter st) before working incr. rows 1 & 2

• 2nd waist shaping decrease: 16 rows after first decrease.

• knit Body MC for 36 cm after sleeve splitting

• Hem CC lenght is 8 cm, then starting garter stitch.

• Sleeves: Didn’t work the garter seem. Made the sleeves longer (I have long arms) MC section length unblocked 20 cm (without garter st section), CC section length unblocked 22 cm (before starting Garter st sleeve hem).

Started alternating skeins after the garter section. Didn’t alternate skeins for the sleeves and the CC section in Oak.

19/1/14: Finished and all ends weaved in. Blocking.

Love, love, love this sweater already and I think I’ll be wearing it a lot.
