Casting on 100 stitches, then k2p2 for 4 or 5 rows, enough to keep it from curling.

Using a pattern from Mary Jane Mucklestone’s fair isle book to make the rows a little more interesting instead of just stripes. k3 with color1, k1 with color2, continue. Will post a pic

UPDATE: ripped it out to get a better chunk of ribbing at the bottom since I didn’t like how the tube was forming. Cast on 80 stitches instead (it was also too massive of a tube), and then worked k4p4 ribbing for maybe 10 rows or so. Then, started working the pattern

02-12-2018

Restarted AGAIN. Realized it’ll likely be gigantic if I record both the highs and the lows, so only going with the highs, and I’m liking the striping much more. Will add in a stripe of black between each month to break it up

Liked the idea of this project, but don’t have the time to keep up with making sure my jogless stripes are doing the right thing, so going to pivot to a mitered square temps blanket instead

still using all the same colors for the scarf in the blanket, just updating the picture.

Okay, this was doomed from the start. It was like 8 feet wide, still ongoing, changing to another pattern that hopefully goes faster. Just ran out of steam
