Notes

Slightly lightweight. Slightly long (hopefully). Slightly striped. Slightly based off of Amy Singer’s Liberated Laceweight scarf.

More than slightly insane.

Cast on 186 sts, 90 for each side and two sets of p1, k1, p1 to help it lay flat. (If I had it to do over, I would have only used a p1 on each side instead. p1, k1, p1 doesn’t do much of anything in the way of flatness unless I plan on blocking this weekly.) Intermittent stripes in scraps of Zephyr to go with the Pip-Pip hat.

Mathematics says that I should get an approximate length of 6 ft, 8 in, without a fringe, if I had continuous striping. Hmm. Non-continuous striping is considerably less. It ends up at a 62” length, with the addition of a four inch fringe on each end.

(I do not understand what is up with this mindless stocingette kick I’ve been on lately.)

Edit Sept 2012: The Slightly Scarf has stripey grey counterparts in the Pip-Pip Mitts and the Pip-Pip Hat (shown in the top photos). Hurrah for matchy-matchy!
