Skimmed projects with helpful notes and made my own version of the revised chart helpfully shared by several people. I used the chart to swatch and calculate how many to cast on (9 pattern repeats and 17 stitches of selvage - in retrospect the selvage is excessive).

Finished - over a year later, haha. The weight and gauge is good, the pattern looks nice. I chose to leave a lot of small errors in as I went rather than ripping back extensively to fix them (mostly because the pattern contains alternating lozenge/diamond shapes in garter and moss stitch and I kept losing track of which was which… but also some decreases with the wrong stitch in front etc).

I am marking the project as finished as I have woven in all the ends, but I still intend to dye it later using some washing machine dye (once our washing machine is hooked up).
