CO 222 st on 4mm 100cm circular needles (on the third try). My wife’s measurements are 100cm - 80cm - 100cm in perfect hourglass, so I decided not to make the pear-shaped silhouette as that would make a very odd tent hanging off her enormous bosom. I am undecided whether to make it without shaping - the fit is after all intended to be relaxed - or to add some increases and decreases after all. I haven’t got very far yet, though.
SHAPING: Decreased 4 times, then increased 4 times to make bust measurement the same as hips - more or less according to the pattern, except in the round.
SLEEVES: I’ve seen someone say they would’ve been faster inside-out in the round, so I’m doing them that way, both at the same time in magic loop. Hopefully it won’t take long to get into the 2-at-once rhythm and I won’t screw anything up…
The sleeves were worked with only the first two sets of increases, I think, but then when I started raglan decreases they became too tight at the top. Not too tight to wear, just tighter than the rest.
COLLAR AND BUTTON BANDS: Worked as written, although the instructions for the buttonholes were terribly poorly written. Should have googled for other instructions in advance!
Now awaiting blocking and weaving in ends, but a preliminary fitting on my wife looks pretty pleasing.

This sweater was adorable on the recipient, but she wouldn’t wear it because it was too warm for her to wear inside. I mean, she wore it a few times but mostly I was borrowing it and it didn’t fit ME. So I decided to frog it and make another sweater from it (actually she’s knitting the sweater out of it) and make her something light enough that she would actually wear it instead.
