Notes

Used a knitted cast-on, worked 2 rows of reverse stockinette. Sent through 2 wash cycles in a zippered pillowcase with hot water and 2 towels.

Yes, it was huge, I’m kind of amazed that it felted so much. I probably shouldn’t have felted it quite so much, but it was a compromise--I cared more about getting a solid looking felt than I did about the length. So it’s pretty short! But nicely felted.

Nice for walks in the woods and I think the neckline looks great with scarves but I’ll admit it’s a bit annoying in its tall stiffness (ahem). Will also try to wear it buttoned up all the way, I felt a bit exposed like this, sort of the way fingerless gloves make the uncovered fingers feel that much colder.

Pretty fun project but make no mistake, I do feel a bit clonky in this! Good thing I know it looks all militaristic and cool…

Shown here with my Catkin fingerless gloves. Buttons are from Najecki Reproductions. They are awesome and affordable but did require a lot of lead time.
