Notes

Cast this on thinking I would make only minimal modifications, but ended up making a much different sweater. I was a little worried after sewing it all together because I had to frog a few inches back for the sleeves to fit the shoulder openings. And, I knit 2 buttonholes on either side of the front neckline intending to add shoulder buttons, but had to scrap that when the armhole turned out to be too small. After I attached the sleeves and sewed the shoulders, it looked pretty shabby. But, I washed it in the machine and lightly blocked it (without pins), and it completely changed the way the sweater fit.

I ended up with an arm length that was just perfect, an awesome drape, a comfortable waist hem, and overall, a pretty soft sweater.

I absolutely love how it turned out and I’m pretty sure this is the most surprisingly wearable garment I’ve ever made myself.
