I wanted a chunky, cropped sweater to use up this yarn I’ve had stashed for 6+ years (!). I couldn’t find one without a kit, so decided to improvise.

Can’t believe how great this sweater turned out! It took less than a week to make and block and I’m planning to wear it often while I can.

I cast on 102 stitches (I think!), but do wish it was a tad less wide. I would cast on a little less if I make it again next time. I pretty much just guessed on length by holding it up to me and imagining it stretched a bit when blocked. It stretched a good deal, as I knew it would. I was scared about running out of yarn, and ended up having 2 balls left! Next time, I might add an inch more, but I really do love the length of it as is, too. I might be making more of these if I can get my hands on some good bulky wool.
