I seriously wear this shawl AT LEAST 5 days a week! It’s so warm and soft during this bitter Paris winter we’re having. I made the shawl again using the suri-merino yarn, and I have to say, I definitely prefer the sport weight. I found the suri merino to be way too hairy and splitty for my taste and I prefer the after-blocking result of the sport weight.

9/18/09 Made it back to Paris and finally blocked
the shawl. I wish it were a bit longer than it turned out to be, although I really do love it. Perfect timing for the fall weather we’re having round here.

9/9/09 The shawl is finished! Just need to block it now.

9/7/09 Just started the garter stitch, so should be finished by tomorrow! Still loving the pattern, but wishing I’d gone for the yarn originally called for (BS suri merino) instead of switching it up…next time!

9/2/09 Restarted this pattern on new yarn and
absolutely loving it!! It’s a hard one to put down, as I’m so anxious to get to the final product. Definitely a fun knit!

6/9/09 I LOVE this shawl. Started it with some yarn I had on-hand because I was anxious to get going on it. I’m still a little unsure about the exact steps for the textured pattern, but I’m winging it and it’s looking ok so far.
