My daughter’s measurements were smaller than the xs. So, I used a smaller hook from what I used on the gauge. I hope it works out.

I finished the back and held it up to my daughter and it looks like a good fit. :)

4/12/12 - I’m working on the front of the piece now.

4/13/12 - Seems I’m having problems with row 28 for the front. The instructions say I should have 31 of the MC on each side of the CC but I have 33. I don’t understand because on row 27, the count was correct. According to that it should be 33 MC on each side of the CC.

4/14/12 - Rows 40 & 42 for the front, work even with MC, increase CC on both ends, work even with MC instead of increasing MC.

5/12/12 - I finished the shirt, she tried it on and it was too short. It fit very nice except that it was too short. Not a problem with the pattern, but her shape did not match the measurements. So, I have decided to simply add 3” to the bottom. I think that the shape of the shirt is fine and good enough that simply adding 3 inches without increases/decreases will be fine. I’m not a designer, so I sure hope this works out. The shirt is beautiful and, as is usually the case, I’m surprised that something this lovely has been created by my hands.
