Notes

The boucle was gifted to me. I’ve tried several times to use it and found it very difficult to work with. However, I started doubling it with the Bernat Satin worsted weight yarn and it works beautifully.

The hat was very loosely based on the easy peasy pattern by Knit Picks but after the initial cast on, was completely modified.

  1. After the brim had rolled to my liking, I switched to a 3x2 rib for four inches until I started my decreases.
  2. I switched again to a stockinette stitch while doing all decreases and created five point to decrease at, creating the 5 pointed star at the crown. (kind of cool, because it actually looks like a crown)

I am very glad I have so much of this yarn because I love the combination of the two yarns and want one for myself!
