Notes

The bag is the “Golden Basket Tote” pattern, slightly modified from the book, Pursenalities. The flowers are from Nicky Epstein’s design “Rose Trellis Bag” in an issue of Vogue Knits magazein.

Manos del Uruguay yarn was used which made a heavy and sturdy bag. There is a sparkly novelty yarn stranded with the Manos yarn along the top edge. There is a magnetic closure inside at the top center of the bag.

Stamens in the flowers are beaded with amber colored glass beads on wire, bright and sparkly in person.

Dimensions of bag are 14 inches wide, 13 inches tall plus the handles extend an additional 5 inches above the bag. It is about 3.5 inches deep front to back. It is a rather flat shape, can be set on it’s side on a table, does not stand on its own. The flowers extend out about 3 inches from the side of the bag, adding to its overall depth.

Colors are dark brown handles and bottom, bright gold, taupe and pale yellow in the “basket” portion of the bag, and purplish-magenta flowers with a rich dark green in the leaves. Looks and feels luxurious.
