I saw this pattern and I had to try it! Lil one wanted a purple hat, so this seemed a natural fit. It was my portable project for a while, but I think if it were a main work item it would have been about 3 days or so.
I modified it to fit her smaller head by not increasing any more after I got past the actual doily section in the middle. I just worked straight for a while, then decreased over a couple of rows for the band.
