Notes

My first cable project.

First seamless knitting experience

Casting on was a pain in the ass. Took me many tries and experimented with different methods. Found that for such huge amounts of CO, the knit-on method is by far the best.

Added a touch of colour to the cuffs, collar and bottom and am very pleased with the results…

Being only my 2nd sweater, had to constantly measure SO just so to make sure the lengths are all correct. (he’s kinda tall and gangly).

By the time the sweater was half done, it was HEAVY… Lugging it around airports - no fun. Though it was very gratifying to get lots of compliments all around starting once the cables emerged.

Bottom-up seamless knitting’s really challenging for a 1st timer but thank god for youtube videos and my trusty Vogue encyclopedia for knitting.

SO loves this sweater!! He wears it every so often and we get compliments on it all the time!! As it’s cotton; it’s wearable 9 mths a year in Seattle due to the Aran weight..

Might make another short sleeve version in a lighter weight for summer… Hmmm
