Notes

I improvised a pattern I found in the Crochet Essentials book (by Leisure Arts) to change the bag to a Valentine’s Day bag with a Mickey Mouse applique. I also shortened the bag by about 2 inches. I found the patterns for the Mickey and Heart appliques by searching on Ravelry and on google.

The biggest problem I had was that the front and back were not exactly the same in size or shape. I discovered after about ten rows of using the black yarn for the back, that it was a completely different size, so I had to frog it, and start over, guessing at how many stitches would be appropriate. I frogged another set, and then finally got a size that sort of worked, but still wasn’t quite right, so I stretched a little when I sewed them together.
