Not following the pattern because I’m looking for simple and easy, which for me doesn’t mean tons of sewing. I’m not really happy with the X pattern, so I may try another option for the next board.

The board itself is Ch. 36, sc across (35), and repeat until the board is approximately 10”x10”. The “O’s” are Ch. 9, join to first stitch, SC 18 into circle. Join to first SC. Chain 1, SC 9, Increase in next stitch, SC to the end, Fasten off. The “X’s” are Chain 9, SC in second chain from hook and across (8). Ch 1, turn, SC across. Ch 1, turn, SC across, fasten off.
