I made this for my mom for Mother’s Day. I was worried it wouldn’t be completed by the time it rolled around, but I was able to cram and make it work. I used size 10 crochet thread, some cotton and some bamboo, and 9 MM black doll eyes. I’ve seen other make theirs out of worsted yarn and they’re huge.

I tried to more or less duplicate Heidi Bear’s color scheme with what I had on hand – I don’t have that many colors! – but I think I did alright. Obviously mistakes were made here and there, but they weren’t huge and I’m happy with the result and I know my mother is!
