This is an amazingly fun project; here is a blog post I wrote about this effort.

I used Red Heart Super Saver hot red, shocking pink, and pumpkin to make these three strands/strings of hearts.

At some point, I plan to make some using a worsted weight, feltable wool and a K hook, and then felting it.
